FROM
THE DESK OF
MRS. MORENO, PRINCIPAL
January 2009
Dear Shoop Academy Parents and Students,
Happy
New Year! 2008 was a wonderful year. It was our first full year
together and we experienced a growth of more than 5% in our ISAT
composite score! We added new programs and continue to have a
professional staff that works diligently to ensure success for our
students.
As we enter the year 2009, I want to personally
invite each parent and guardian to continue taking a proactive role in
our children’s success. Let’s work with our students to
develop good study habits that will help them be successful in life.
Let’s stress the importance of attendance and punctuality, because these
skills directly influence academic success. Let’s continue to encourage
balance, good ethical behavior and a sense of collective
responsibility.
Many of you have heard me say that it takes a
village to raise a child. It requires the commitment of all
villagers to nurture our students so that they are productive members of
our village. I am committed to the relentless pursuit of excellence for
all Shoop students. I am committed to mutual respect and
individual responsibility. I am committed to the Shoop village.
Welcome to our village.
Sincerely,
Lisa
Marie Moreno
